Girl Cops?

Tonight there was a TV programme on BBC1 called 'Girl Cops'. I switched on expecting to see that crazed children had infiltrated the police force, so imagine my disappointment to discover that the title was a complete misnomer. The programme was in fact about fully grown, adult female police officers. How could this have happened? Could it be... could it be... blatant and shameful utter lowbrow archaic sexism? They would never put on a programme about male police officers called 'Boy Cops'. How fucking patronising can you fucking get?
Oh look! You can complain here in just a baby, not fully grown, moment.

Dear D D*****
Thank you for your e-mail regarding 'Girl Cops'.
I understand you took offence at this title for the programme that features female police officers. It was never the intention of the programme makers to cause offence in the naming of the programme. Every care is taken when determining what to call a programme, to ensure it is noticeable and different from all other similar styles of programming.
We appreciate you find the title in this case to be sexist and please
be assured your concerns have been registered on our audience log which
is made available to the programme makers and senior BBC management.
Feedback such as yours allows the BBC and its programme makers to be aware of public reaction to their programmes in order to improve upon them and to take into consideration the views of the public when planning future programming.
Thank you again for taking the time to contact the BBC with your views.
Regards
Tony Brown

Hi, Dreamy,
I hate that kind of patronizing crap, too. It's not so blatant here in the States, but it does creep through from time to time. When it does, we gotta stomp it down!
You go gurrl!
