Itchy cold hairs

Wondering about the evolutionary cause for the little hairs inside my nostrils to make me want to itch them, and I think it's the lil cold and flu bugs that flew passed, and are sitting there wanting to nestle deeper inside in the moistness, so they give off itchy chemicals so I itch and in so doing push them in further where they can breed.
